Description

This is a reproduction of Maxfield Parrish's "Air Castles" of 1905. Parrish was a wonderful illustrator and artist who was born in 1870 Philadelphia. He began as an illustrator and had many commissions. He lived in New Hampshire and painted until he was 91 years old. He died in 1966. This painting is typical of his repeated theme of androgynous nudes depicted in fantastic landscapes. The original painting is in a private collection.
