About the image: At this particular site in Cornish, New Hampshire, the focus is typically the waterfall at the old mill but I spotted this angle of the water flowing towards the old stone bridge that made me envision a book cover concept. Something about that dark, shadowy opening gave me a shutter. The kind of place a Stephen King character would take his victims. I took a few shots of this scene initially but they were lacking a strong foreground object to contrast with the dark opening. After scrambling around the area I found this shot which I believe works. The lighter rocks in the foreground contrast with the dark hole of a tunnel in the background. One could imagine a child playing on the rocks, unaware of the danger lurking in the background.
