....
The sun comes over the edge of Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah, lighting up the ancient bristle cone that cling to the canyon edges and light up the pink sandstone hoodoos in the canyon.
We only had one night in Bryce Canyon cabins, a brisk walk in the cold over to the Sunset and Sunrise Points. The ranger said don't miss the sunrise so how could we? We set the clock for 5:30, wrapped a blanket from off the bed around us and headed out. The full moon had already brightened the sky a bit and the first rays of sun were coming up over beyond the brilliant red canyon walls.
The bristle cone pine tree clinging to the edge of the canyon is probably 700 years old.
