About the artwork
I grew up with a family summer cottage down on the shore at Chalker Beach, Connecticut, a private cottage community in Old Saybrook, CT. Classic little cottages dotted the shore line and inland. Many were built on farm land after World War II when wood shortages allowed only enough wood for a two car garage. Often the cottages were build by the owners and shared by extended family through out the summer. Relatives filled every available space.
